My name is Jacy Norgaard, I am a photographer, and avid race fan and a person who enjoys life. My journey into photography started on a summer evening in 2006 at Cedar Lake Speedway, I brought a point and shoot camera into the infield and began playing around.
A few years went on and I decided to buy my first 'real' camera in August of 2008. I continued to take pictures at Cedar Lake Speedway until 2009, when I left to pursue other things. I wound up at Ogilvie Raceway, a new 3/8 mile dirt track in Northern Minnesota.
Since then I have continued shooting at Ogilvie Raceway as well as working for several series including: The World Of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, Monster Jam, RACEMN Modified Series and many more. My work has been published in The Midwest Racing Connection, All The Dirt Racing News, and various other websites including drivers sites such as Joey Jensen. As time progresses, I look forward to working for new publications, series, and even trying my hand at more sports photography, other than racing.
Photography isn't a job or a hobby, to me it is a way of life. To be able to capture history as it is unfolding is a magical thing, and to do it well watching the greatest sport on earth, well thats just awesome!
